New project by Tom Ritchey to unite Ritchey frame owners with iconic Bullmoose bars and custom-made, bi-plane fork

When Tom Ritchey began building his signature bike frames, he discovered that his customers had unique needs that couldn’t be addressed with the limited components options of the time.

Enter the Bullmoose bar and bi-plane fork. In a time when lug castings offered limited frame angle options, and bar/stem combos were unreliable due to slippage, Tom could create a fork with any rake he wanted, and an integrated bar/stem impervious to slipping. At the time, every Ritchey bike sold featured these signature products. However, when demand rumbled over Tom’s precision-oriented production routine, he stepped back from handcrafting steel bikes with some unfinished business to the tune of around 500 original Tom Ritchey frames.

Now — 45 years later — the time has come to complete those frames with a steel fork and optional Bullmoose handlebar handmade by Tom Ritchey himself.

For a limited time, owners of any fillet-brazed Ritchey or Mountain Bike by Ritchey frame made between 1979-1982 can pre-order either a clamp or quill fork and an original Bullmoose handlebar to complete their frame with genuine parts made by Tom Ritchey.

This is your chance to elevate your Ritchey frame’s status with a hand-built fork and Bullmoose integrated handlebar and stem by the most recognizable name in bike craftsmanship, Tom Ritchey.
